Hello! Welcome to my blog! 🙂
My name is Lisa, I’m 22 and I live in Scotland. I have recently graduated from college with an HNC in Early Education and Childcare, and I’m currently working in a nursery as an Early Years Practitioner.
So you’re probably all wondering why I decided to start writing a blog?
At the age of 2, I was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. A condition which affects how individuals process information, communicate and interact with others. Whilst growing up, I found social situations quite difficult and this is something that still affects me today. There are times where I find it difficult to express my thoughts and feelings, as it takes a moment for me to process what I want to say and how I want to say it.
Like many people, I’ve had to face many obstacles to get to where I am today and I’m so proud of how far I have come. (This is something that I hope to talk about more in the future.)
I have debated about whether to create a blog for a while now, a space where I can express myself by talking about anything and everything that is on my mind. Now, I’ve decided to take the risk and go for it!
From this blog, I hope to inspire people by talking about my personal experiences and helping them in a way others have helped me. To encourage them to reach their goals and not let anyone, or anything, stand in their way. As I’m currently working in a nursery, I also hope to occasionally post a variety of fun and exciting activity ideas for young children.
I may also decide to throw in a few surprises, who knows?
I don’t have a particular plan at the moment, but I would love it if you could all join me on this journey. 🙂
